Kanye West can clear yet another space on his wall for his sixth solo album Yeezusreaching gold status. The RIAA has certified the album for pushing 500,000 units while it sits on the cusp of selling a half million copies – 497,000 copies to be exact – to date.
Since its June 18 release, 'Ye's recent release soared to the number one spot on the Billboard 200 charts with 327,000 copies sold in its opening week before being bumped by J. Cole’s Born Sinner that was released the same day.
West is set to perform his official single "Black Skinhead" off Yeezus at the 2013 MTV Video Music Awards August 25. --Alley Olivier
