Vin Diesel has sparked rumours he's joined the star-studded cast of Guardians of the Galaxy.
The actor logged onto Facebook to tease the apparent news.
His post featured a photo of the character Groot, an alien living tree, but included no further details.
As CinemaBlend reports, Vin has been linked to Marvel since June, when
he told followers on his social networks he was meeting with executives
at the movie studio.
He also recently hinted there would be big news coming about a new
project.If the rumours are true, Vin would join a long list of stars on
the flick.
Glenn Close, Zoe Saldana, Michael Rooker, Chris Pratt and Lee Pace have all been attached.
Benicio del Toro was most recently linked to the project, amid
speculation he had signed a deal for multiple films in a new franchise
based on the eponymous comic book series.
Guardians of the Galaxy centres on a team of superheroes who try to save the galaxy from certain destruction.
A pilot ends up travelling with a group of futuristic ex-cons who are
hauling something in their space ship that everyone in the galaxy wants
to get their hands on.
Glenn will reportedly depict a high-ranking official who is stationed at the universal space patrol.
Zoe will play Gamora, a green-skinned assassin who boasts preternatural
strength, agility and has the ability to heal at accelerated rates.
Chris has signed on as Star-Lord, an interplanetary policeman whose mother is human and father is alien.
Michael joined the cast as superhero hunter Yondu, while Ophelia
Lovibond is believed to have secured the part of another baddie.
Benicio's role has yet to be announced.
Guardians of the Galaxy is slated for a summer 2014 release.
