Less than 24 hours after Kim made her first appearance since giving birth to baby North last month, Kanye West turned up to a Dodgers baseball game on Wednesday night with his almost-brother-in-law Rob Kardashian - probably expecting a lovely evening of sporting prowess, rubbery hot dogs containing less than five per cent actual meat, and one of those bright blue crushed ice drinks, most commonly seen thrown over characters in Glee.
Instead, the new dad found his face projected onto the big screen, prompting the crowds of foam-fingered sports fans to stop slurping their slushies and boo.
"Kanye West was just shown on the jumbotron at Dodger Stadium and booed,” ESPN reporter Arash Markazi tweeted, as the rapper appeared bemused but unbothered by the loud, derogatory noises being made in his direction.
After all, two minutes later, he and Rob were reportedly upgraded to better seats. Which probably helped to soften the blow of unpopularity a bit.
"Kanye West just got moved to second row seats near the Mets dugout. #KanyeWatch," Arash added.
But - never one to be left out - Rob did some tweeting himself, too. And he made the evening sound a lot more fun. "Dodger game with the fellas," he wrote, uploading a photo of the group, before deleting it later. Maybe because he was distracted by the news that his other brother-in-law is still his nephew's father.
But while Kanye and Rob weren't the only celebrities at the game, they were the only ones to be so publicly rejected in the style of a Punch and Judy show.
"Robin Thicke is at the Dodgers game too and gets a loud ovation," Arash tweeted . Which seems slightly unfair. And raises questions about how closely Arash was actually watching the game itself.
