#Notorious B.I.G. in Line to Have Brooklyn Street Corner Named After Him

There is petition going around to get the Brooklyn street corner where the Notorious B.I.G. grew up renamed in his honor.

If passed it would change the intersection of St. James Place and Fulton Way to Christopher Wallace Way, reports Complex.com.

“Artistically during Christopher Wallace’s time in music he was considered the best at his craft,” writes LeRoy McCarthy in the Change.org petition. It goes on to peg Biggie’s life as “the story of a boy to a man accomplishing greatness, using words as his tools,” noting that the Brooklyn native “continues to have a resounding influence” beyond his 1997 passing.

In May, the New York City Department of Parks and Recreation renamed a Brooklyn Heights playground “Adam Yauch Park” after the late member of the Beastie Boys.

According to Village Voice, the City Council voted in July to rename 52 streets after other notable New Yorkers.
