Dwayne Johnson is covered with battle scars in the latest behind-the-scenes image from Brett Ratner’s Hercules: The Thracian Wars.
The latest photo from the busy actor’s upcoming action flick showcases just how muscle the guy has packed on for the role. While other photos gave you a glimpse of his size, seeing him next to a few tiny effects artists kind of puts that into perspective.
The latest image from Ratner’s adaptation of Hercules: The Thracian Wars showed up on Dwayne Johnson’s Twitter feed Friday afternoon. Although you still can’t see his face, the images shows some of the damage the character will receive over the course of the flick.
According to Johnson, he spends nearly four hours every single day getting makeup applied to various parts of his body. Since the character is a battle-scarred warrior, Ratner and company are making sure he looks the part. Judging from the image embedded below, the guy has definitely seen plenty of combat in his days.
Hercules isn’t the only fantasy flick the Fast and Furious 6 star currently has lined up. The Inquisitr previously reported that Dwayne Johnson is slated to star in the upcoming adaptation of the IDW Publishing’s Lore.
Although Men in Black director Barry Sonnenfeld was originally tapped to bring the graphic novel to life, he reportedly couldn’t agree on a budget for the flick. Instead of working things out, the filmmaker completely dropped out of the project.
Warner Bros. recently brought in Echo director David Green to take the reins on the flick. While the project is still moving forward, it’s unclear when the flick will hit theaters. Since Johnson is pretty busy at the moment, it could be a while before production begins.
