This year, MTV brought the Video Music Awards to Brooklyn’s Barclays
Center to give out Moonmen for the best visuals in music over the last
year. Of course some of hip-hop and R&B’s biggest names showed up to
the event making a statement on the red carpet.
Some artists graced the red carpet in their Sunday best and others
arrived sporting a more casual look for the affair, but the
black-and-white trend remained consistent Sunday night (Aug. 25). From Future to Drake to Ciara, here are the 10 Best Dressed at 2013 MTV Video Music Awards.

Brooklyn streets in a sheer, cream-colored dress. The embroidery and
feathers at the bottom of her gown prove the songstress was taking a
fashion risk that turned out right.

made their first big red carpet appearance since reuniting, color
coordinating in black and white for their look. Plus they each showed
off some sexiness while flaunting toned legs.

his wife and actress Paula Patton kept the black trend going at the
awards ceremony. The singer rocked a black suit and white shirt with the
buttons undone. Patton wore a floor-length dress with a split made of

white to the MTV VMAs. Wearing a long shimmery and feathery train, the
U.K. singer came to show out on the red carpet.

repped his hometown of Los Angeles with a black baseball cap adorned
with the initials LA. The rhymer rocked a grey shirt, black jeans, green
Nikes and a gold chain.

The Smith sibling superstars brought their street cool to the awards ceremony. Willow Smith rocked denim overalls with black wedges and a cropped graphic tee. Jaden Smith wore all black to the affair.

mode, rocking a baseball jersey with the title of his forthcoming album,
‘Nothing Was the Same,’ printed on the front. With a fresh cut and
black Timberland boots, Drizzy kept things laid-back for the show.
