Justin Bieber: No Drugs Found After Florida Airport Search, Anonymous Tip



Justin Bieber’s and his entourage’s baggage was searched by airport police and a sniffer dog at Ft. Lauderdale International Airport in Florida, before boarding a private jet on Friday, (Aug. 16).

Plain clothes officers, and what appears to be a lone dog in photos of the search, descended as the singer and his party unloaded their luggage on the curb inside the airport.

Nothing illegal was found in the 19-year-old’s baggage.

Nothing illegal was found in the singer’s crew’s luggage.

The Canadian star and his entourage were in Miami to attend the final concert of Jay Z and Justin Timberlake’s Legends of the Summer tour.

Other famous names in town for the gig included Rihanna, Kevin Hart, Rick Ross, Jermaine Dupri, and LeBron James.

According to TMZ, law enforcement officials at the airport carried out the search in response to a anonymous tip-off.




While it was conducted, Justin was snapped interacting with fans and posing for photographs with babies and younger fans at the airport. Following the search, the pop star and his entourage were allowed to head to their private jet to fly to Miami.

In July US border authorities stopped and searched a Believe tour bus at the border of Windsor, Canada before entering Detroit, US.

The singer was not aboard the bus at the time when police seized a small amount of marijuana, as well as drug paraphernalia. The driver of the bus was issued with a civil penalty before he, the bus and its passengers were released.

Back in April, while on the European leg of his tour, Swedish police found a small amount of weed on an empty tour bus used by Bieber but no action was taken.

In other Bieber news, a remix of Michael Jackson’s unreleased song “Slave to the Rhythm” leaked online on Friday, featuring vocals from the late legend and the teen pop star in a duet.

Before the reveal, the singer took to Twitter and posted tweets referencing Jackson.

“Excited for what is to come. MJ set the bar. Not only for music but for being an entertainer and how u treat the fans. Wish he was here…” Bieber wrote in one, before adding: “MJ. The greatest of all time. #fact (sic).”

However, since then YouTube and Soundcloud posts of the of the song have been removed from the Internet following a copyright claim from Sony Music and take down notices from The Michael Jackson Estate.

Bieber is currently enjoying an extended break after completing North American dates on his tour, which resumes at the end of September in Asia.
