Gucci Mane Dropped From Atlantic Records?

Gucci Mane

Following Gucci Mane's Twitter rampage on Monday (September 9), word is, he's been dropped from Atlantic Records.

If you followed the Atlanta rap star's timeline this week, then you caught the shots he sent off to his rap peers. But, aside from other artists, also called out a few label reps, his longtime manager Kevin "Coach K" Lee and others.

"Warner. Mizay. Atlantic. Shapiro firm Emanon management asylum records bsm. Get ready 4 audit no deal 4 waka sell ya ghost bitch 1m," Gucci wrote in one of the series of tweets (@Gucci1017) he sent across the Internet.

Since then, an anonymous former representative confirmed to The Fader that Gucci is "not with Atlantic anymore," where he previously had a distribution deal.

While details about the split were unknown, the source said it may have "been a time thing."

Additionally, Coach K is no longer representing him. Complex.com says the Atlanta-based music executive actually hasn't been with him for about three months.

It's still unknown why Gucci Mane decided to go at the entire industry, but some of his peers point to drugs as the cause. "Kids please don’t do drugs @gucci1017 is the perfect outcome lol #IceCreamCone," former associate Waka Flocka tweeted (@WakaFlockaBSM).

Atlantic and/or Gucci's camp has not commented. Stay tuned...
