Inspector General Of Police, MD Abubakar Finds Love Again, To Remarry In September

Nigeria’s Inspector General of Police, Mohammed Abubakar is set to remarry about a year after he lost his wife, Maryam Abubakar, to cancer in January 2012.

The IGP will be engaging in a three-day wedding ritual to a popular 35 year-old Safiya according to sources close to the Mr. Abubakar.

The wedding proper will take place on September 14, 2013.

[VIDEO] Justin Timberlake Says He's Squashed His Beef with Kanye West

Justin Timberlake spoke with MTV's Sway Calloway on Sway's Shade 45 show, and Timberlake revealed that he has settled his beef with Kanye West when they had their face-to-face at the VMA's.

Earlier this year, there was a diss to Timberlake by West with the lyric, "Man I got love for Hov, but I ain't f---ing with that 'Suit & Tie.'" Timberlake responded to the diss on Saturday Night Live a short time later when he said, "My hit's so sick got rappers acting dramatic."

Timberlake stated, "It doesn't matter. It was one of them things where I love it, in a way, because at the end of the day it's just music. I love the record, I love 'Suit & Tie.' It reminds me of the music I grew up listening to. I respect his opinion because I think he's a genius. But I don't share that opinion. It's just not that big a deal."

He added, "He [Kanye] said the exact perfect thing, which was, 'The best way I know how to do that is just for us to sit down and play music.' You can't plan out ... you can't, 'Hey, Ross I need you!' I love 'Ye ... I feel like I understand what he's doing. I love Yeezus. I love that album. I feel like I understand what he's doing. I think he's ahead ... of a lot ... all the time."

Blue Ivy On Drake’s New Album Cover?

Baby Blue Ivy is not even out of diapers, but she’s already linked to other celebrities in a gossip buzz story.

While Blue Ivy is more concerned with the location of her pacifier than fashion and celeb news, the tot came up in recent weeks after Drake’s new album art was released.

The cover of “Nothing Was The Same,” which won’t drop until September 24, was lauded by fans for its creativity and high-art stylings. That’s probably because it was commissioned from artist and illustrator Kadir Nelson — who has worked for everyone from Michael Jackson to the U.S. government in similar works.

The Blue Ivy angle with Drake’s new joint comes from the baby’s face and appearance on the album cover. The tot indeed has some Blue Ivy like features… but Bey and Jay probably wouldn’t do the “pick in her hair” look depicted.

But Drake laughs and insists that Blue Ivy wasn’t his inspiration — the baby shown is actually supposed to represent the star himself and not Beyonce and Jay-Z’s daughter.

Drake explains:

“When it’s positioned on the shelf, whatever store you go to, if they do it as I’ve asked, you’ll see the fact that it’s a child version of myself staring at myself now. Sometimes when I try and think back on this journey, it’s so hard to pinpoint all of these moments and it gets foggy… I’ve been trying to tell this story, I’ve got there, but maybe not got there all the way. And what that album art is to me is, like, this is my most clean, concise thoughts from now, and my best recollection of then. That’s really what that cover’s about.”

Michael Douglas, Catherine Zeta-Jones Split After 13-Year Marriage

Catherine Zeta Jones Michael Douglas and Catherine Zeta-Jones have separated after 13-years of marriage.

The duo are reportedly spending an extended period of time apart because their relationship is in disarray.

Michael Douglas is believed to be on holiday by himself in Sardinia, while Catherine Zeta-Jones is currently at their New York home looking after their two children.

At this point, neither have began legal proceedings for divorce, and they haven’t legally separated either.

A source apparently confirmed to People magazine that the duo had separated and added that they were taking a break from one another.

The pair haven’t been seen together in public since April 22 when they attended the 40th Annual Chaplin Award Gala at Avery Fisher Hall in New York City.

It’s believed that they reached the decision to spend time apart after Douglas had returned from the Cannes Film Festival earlier this year. Speculation then increased after the Wall Street star was spotted playing golf by himself in Italy, while Zeta-Jones remained in New York.

Star Magazine also recently alleged that Zeta-Jones is set to begin a $300 million divorce battle with the actor. However, neither thespian has released a statement on the matter.

It’s believed that Michael will return to the couple’s Manhattan home after his jaunt in Europe, while Zeta-Jones will reside in their $4 million abode further upstate alongside their children, Dylan, 13, and Carys, 10.

The source added that divorce would be the final nail in the coffin for their relationship as it would put a huge strain on both of them emotionally and physically, as well as their children.

Douglas and Zeta Jones have been dogged by rumors that their relationship was on the brink of collapse throughout the year.

It’s believed that the pressure of dealing with Michael’s cancer, Catherine’s battle with bipolar disorder, and the incarceration of his eldest son on drugs charges have lead the duo to this difficult decision.

'Twerking' added to English Oxford Dictionary

The word 'Twerking' has been added to the Oxford English Dictionary, it has been revealed.

The raunchy dance move, which has hit the headlines in recent days due to Miley Cyrus's much-discussed performance at the MTV Video Music Awards, is one of several new words which have been added as part of the dictionary's quarterly update. Other new inclusions include 'omnishambles', which was made famous by sitcom The Thick Of It, and 'selfie'.

Speaking about the decision to recognise the term twerking, Oxford Dictionaries' Katherine Connor Martin told the BBC: "By last year, it had generated enough currency to be added to our new words watch list, and by the spring, we had enough evidence of usage frequency in a breadth of sources to consider adding it to our dictionaries of current English."

Martin, who said that the word twerk had already been a part of hip-hop culture in the US for 20 years, added: "There are many theories about the origin of this word, and since it arose in oral use, we may never know the answer for sure. The current public reaction to twerking is reminiscent in some ways of how the twisting craze was regarded in the early 1960s, when it was first popularised by Chubby Checker's song, 'The Twist'."

Cyrus' twerk-happy performance has sparked mass debate around the craze. During a medley of her recent Number One hit 'We Can't Stop' and Robin Thicke's singles 'Blurred Lines' and 'Give It 2 U', Cyrus stripped down to a flesh-coloured bikini and was seen pointing at Thicke's crotch with a foam finger before twerking provocatively against the front of Thicke's striped trousers.

Her performance prompted criticism from America's Parents Television Council (PTC), who said: "MTV continues to sexually exploit young women by promoting acts that incorporate 'twerking' in a nude-coloured bikini. How is this image of former child star Miley Cyrus appropriate for 14-year-olds?"

Yesterday (August 26), meanwhile, Diplo revealed he wants to break the world twerking record this weekend. The Major Lazer man is looking to recruit dancers to take part in his 'Twerk Wall' at the Electric Zoo festival in New York, which takes place from August 31 to September 1. He has put out a request to "butts around the world" to help him claim the "world record of having the most people twerking at the same time".

Madonna named highest-earning celebrity of 2013 by Forbes

Madonna has been named Forbes highest-earning celebrity of 2013.

As the BBC reports, the singer raked in $125m (£80m) over the past year due to the success of her 'MDNA' tour as well as her clothing and fragrance lines. It is reportedly the most money the pop star has made in a single year since Forbes began calculating earnings in 1999.


She beat film director Steven Spielberg, who had earnings of $100m (£64m), and 50 Shades Of Grey author EL James, The X Factor boss Simon Cowell and US shock jock Howard Stern, who were all tied with sums of $95m (£61m). Her pop rival Lady Gaga, meanwhile, also made the Top 10 with earnings of $80m (£51.4m).

In February of this year, Madonna was also named as the biggest money maker in the music industry by Billboard, after they calculated that the Queen of Pop had taken home $34.6m in 2012. Around $32 million of that sum – more than 90 per cent of her revenue – came from her 88-date 'MDNA' world tour, which was the biggest touring concert of 2012. She was the only woman in the Top 10.

Despite the success of her 'MDNA' tour, Madonna courted controversy throughout the run of shows. Standout incidents including her being booed by disgruntled French fans for delivering a short set, brandishing a gun onstage in Denver shortly after the Colorado shootings in July of this year, and angering Russian fans by handing out pink anti-homophobia wristbands - a stunt that saw charges brought against her in a Russian court, although they were later dismissed.
