Texas hospital 'deeply sorry' for Ebola mistakes after 1 patient dies, infects 2 nurses



Texas' Ebola nightmare started last month when Dallas' Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital sent a feverish Thomas Eric Duncan home two days before it isolated him. Officials apologized Wednesday for not diagnosing him correctly earlier. One of the two nurses who treated Duncan and developed Ebola flew a day before she was diagnosed — but she might have been symptomatic on the plane, the CDC warned.

The Texas hospital that sent a contagious Ebola patient home is saying sorry.

Dallas' Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital admitted it not handle its first Ebola case correctly: two of its staffers who treated "patient zero" were infected with the virus, one of whom flew across the country just before she was diagnosed, setting off national panic of possible uncontained exposure.

U.S. Offers $45 Million Reward for Information on 8 terrorist Leaders

The U.S. has offered a reward of 45 million dollars for information on eight key leaders of the Al-Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula (AQAP) terrorist organisation.

The U.S. State Department said on Wednesday in Washington that it’s Rewards for Justice Programme was also offering rewards of 10 million dollars for information leading to the location of Nasir al-Wahishi, AQAP’s top leader, and five million dollars each for the information on seven of the group’s leaders.

It said the Al-Wahishi was responsible for approving AQAP targets, recruiting new members, allocating resources, and directing the group’s operatives to conduct attacks.

It said AQAP had launched numerous high-profile terrorist attacks against the Yemeni government, U.S. and other foreign interests.
 
It said the attack includes a May 2012 suicide bombing in Sanaa, that killed more than 100 people.
The department said in 2013 more than 20 U.S embassies were temporarily closed in response to a threat associated with AQAP.

AQAP was formed in January 2009 by Yemeni and Saudi terrorists under the leadership of al-Wahishi, who had headed AQAP’s predecessor group Al-Qaeda in Yemen.

On January 19th 2010, the then Secretary of State Hillary Clinton designated the group as a Foreign Terrorist Organization.

Three out of eight young men who gang-raped a young lady (name withheld)  in Ilorin,have been arrested .With the remaining five still at large.Parading the alleged rapists in Ilorin, they were identified as Kadri Rafiu, Sikiru Jimoh and Mustapha Nasiru.

One of the suspects, Jimoh, confessed that seven of them actually raped the victim. While regretting their action, he stated that it was the work of Satan.

Texas Ebola nurse Nina Pham 'doing well'

A Texas nurse diagnosed with Ebola has thanked well-wishers for their support and prayers as she undergoes treatment for the deadly virus.

Nina Pham, 26, wrote she was "doing well" in a statement on Tuesday.
Ms Pham was exposed to Ebola when she treated Liberian Thomas Duncan - the first person diagnosed with the virus on US soil - at a Dallas hospital.

Man Sued to Court in Lagos for Having Sex with Male Room-mate While He Was Asleep!



      A 29-year-old man, Uchenna Maduakor, has pleaded not guilty to a charge of homosexuality levelled against him. Maduakor was accused of having unlawful sexual intercourse with his roommate, one Veneginus Onyelu, in their one-room apartment at 5a, Ojo-Oba Street, Lagos Island.

It was learnt that Maduakor, Onyelu and two other people share the apartment. PUNCH Metro learnt that the incident happened on September 16, 2014 while they were asleep. Three of the room occupants were said to be in the room at the time of the incident.

One of the roommates was said to have gone out to urinate at about 2am, when Maduakor allegedly took advantage of his being alone with Onyelu to commit the act.

Onyelu was said to be fast asleep and was not aware of what was going on until Maduakor was allegedly caught in the act by the other roommate.
