Afeni Shakur Files $1.1 Million Lawsuit Against eOne Over Tupac Album




Afeni Shakur, the mother of the late Tupac Shakur, has filed a lawsuit against eOne for royalties earned from a 2007 album, titled Beginnings: The Lost Tapes.

According to TMZ.com, Afeni filed court docs claiming breached a contract, and is seeking $1.1 million.

Court docs state that eOne purchased the rights to Tupac's music (previously owned by Death Row Records) in July.

Additionally, Afeni wants the label to give up the master recordings of all Tupac's unreleased music.
