Mali's First Ebola Victim Has Died!

 

The 2 year old Malian girl who was confirmed to have Ebola wednessday has died! She was the first case of the virus, in the country and was sent to relatives in Mali after her mother died of the virus in Guinea. The girl was being treated in the western town of Kayes, since arriving at a hospital.

It's believed that many people may have been exposed to the virus through her as she travelled via a public bus through several towns and showed signs of the virus.

Forty-three people, including 10 health workers who came into contact with her, have so far been identified and isolated.

Lil Wayne’s “Tha Carter V” Drops Oct. 28

Lil Wayne's long awaited album, Tha Carter V, is coming.

His Young Money label tweeted out a reminder on Monday (Oct. 20), that the album drops October 28th, writing: "The legend continues."

Further details about the project are unknown, but in an interview with ESPN in August, Weezy said it means a lot to him.

"This album means a lot to me," he said. "People been waiting on this album and I'm just at the point in my life and stuff to have my mom on there. It's more than an accomplishment, it's an achievement."

Jay Sean Leaves Cash Money Records, Preps Mixtape

After a pair of albums with the label, British singer/songwriter Jay Sean has left Cash Money Records.

The split comes six years after he signed to Cash Money, releasing 2009's All or Nothing, which spawned the No. 1 single "Down," and 2013's Neon.

Nurse Nina Pham Has Been Cured of Ebola, Is Released from Hospital

The nurse who caught Ebola while caring for the patient diagnosed in Dallas was released from a hospital Friday, free of the virus, and later met with President Barack Obama at the White House.

Nurse Nina Pham said she felt "fortunate and blessed to be standing here today," as she left the National Institutes of Health's hospital outside Washington.

She thanked her health-care team in Dallas and at the NIH and singled out fellow Ebola survivor Dr. Kent Brantly, who recovered after becoming infected in Liberia, for donating plasma containing Ebola-fighting antibodies as part of her care.

Orlando Bloom has finally spoken out about the Selena Gomez dating rumors that have been swirling on and off for months!

At the airport on Wednesday evening (October 22), the 37-year-old actor was questioned by some photographers about the nature of his relationship with the 22-year-old starlet.

“No man, we were just attending We Day together,” Orlando said (via TMZ). “You heard of We Day? You should check it out.”

“So not true then?” the photographer asks, to which Orlando responds, “no” before hopping in his awaiting car.

Rumors began swirling most recently when they were seen at the airport together earlier this week. The duo both did attend We Day in Vancouver.

Kelly Osbourne just got herself inked up once more, but this one is a bit more sentimental than the rest of her tattoos. The Fashion Police star went to the tattoo parlor to get new ink in memory of her mentor and friend Joan Rivers.

Less than two months after Rivers’ death, Osbourne took to Instagram to share her new work of art. The tattoo is a tiny bumblebee in white ink, and is placed on her right shoulder. The bumblebee is near a butterfly tattoo she had done years ago.

Joan Rivers Cause of Death May Remain Mystery Because NO AUTOPSY

We may never know exactly what killed Joan Rivers ... because a decision was made NOT to do an autopsy ... TMZ has learned.

Sources connected to the NYC Medical Examiner tell us ... Melissa Rivers was despondent when Joan died and told doctors she did not want an autopsy performed.  According to New York law, doctors will honor such a request if there's no evidence of criminality associated with the death.

The Medical Examiner has concluded the cause of death was deprivation of oxygen which caused irreversible brain damage. We're told they determined the "predictable" complication involved the procedure itself and not Propofol.

Here's the problem ... we're told without an autopsy it's impossible to pinpoint the nature of the problem. As one source said, an autopsy might reveal a puncture in the throat or other trauma.

The only way Joan's family might get a definitive answer is if a doctor or nurse owns up to a possible mistake ... and even then it's just someone's word.

So the precise cause of Joan's death may forever stay a mystery.

Sexting Linked to Sex in Teens, Study Shows

“Sexting” — specifically, sending sexually explicit photos — among teens may also be an indicator that they are more likely to engage in the real thing later, according to a new study.

University of Texas researchers embarked on a first-of-its-kind study to survey 1,042 high school students about their text and sex lives over a one-year period.

Teens who admitted to sending nude pictures of themselves were 32% more likely to report a year later that they had had sexual intercourse when compared to those who said they did not sext, according to the research, published in the Oct. 6 edition of the journal “Pediatrics.”

British nurse who survived Ebola returns to Sierra Leone

 

British nurse, Will Pooley who contracted Ebola while working in Sierra Leone, returned to the West African country today October 19th after being treated and cured of the deadly disease in the UK.

Williams said he couldn't stand "idly by" and watch more people die of the disease when he could help and feels his decision to go back to Sierra Leone is the right one...

"I chose to go before and it was the right thing to do then and it’s still the right thing to do now.” he said

Williams was airlifted from Sierra Leone to England on August 25th after contracting the disease. He will be resuming work tomorrow Monday October 20th at an Ebola Isolation Unit at the Connaught Hospital in Free Town, the Sierra Leone capital.

The outcome showed a deeply divided church on some of the most pressing issues facing Catholic families.

It appeared that the 118-62 vote on the gay section might have been a protest vote by progressive bishops who refused to back the watered-down wording. The original draft had said gays had gifts to offer the church and that their partnerships, while morally problematic, provided gay couples with "precious" support.
